Matthew 28:1–10
The Preacher’s Pen
For years, people have debated who’s the greatest — the greatest athlete, the greatest president, the greatest performer. But there’s no debate when it comes to Jesus Christ.
The resurrection settled it once and for all:
Jesus is the Greatest.
John 2:19–22; Luke 18:31–33
Jesus didn’t just live the truth — He predicted the truth.
He foretold His death and resurrection in detail. And then He did it.
“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” – John 2:19
Most leaders make promises. Jesus made prophecies—and He kept every one.
Promises made. Promises kept.
Romans 6:9; John 10:18
Death is the ultimate enemy. No one escapes it.
But Jesus did — and not by accident or outside help.
“I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.” – John 10:18
He broke death’s grip with His own power.
Who else can do that?
1 Peter 1:3
Before resurrection morning, His followers were crushed by grief.
Friday was full of pain. Saturday was silent.
But Sunday?
Sunday changed everything.
“He hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” – 1 Peter 1:3
Because He lives, hope lives.
No matter how dark your Friday feels — Sunday’s coming.
